Most City Facilities Closing Early Today Due to Severe Weather Forecast

Due to the forecasted severe weather outlook, most City of Cedar Rapids offices, facilities and programs will close at 4 p.m. today, March 31, 2023. The following City services will operate as indicated:
- Bender Pool, closing at 4:30 p.m.
- Northwest Recreation Center, closing at 4:30 p.m.
- Golf Courses, closing at 4:30 p.m.
- Transit Services will remain operational on the regular schedule.
- Fire Department – Operating normally.
- Police Department – Operating normally.
City staff are monitoring the severe weather event and are ready to engage an Incident Management response should the weather present inclement challenges.
