1960-1973: The 16th Avenue SW shopping district remained much the same between the end of World War II and 1970. Mostly locally owned shops such as the Modern Bakery seen here at 86 16th Avenue SW maintained their appearance and function for decades. This Modern Bakery location became Zindrick’s Czech restaurant in the late 20th and early 21st centuries.
