1973-1990: In April of 1983, the Iowa Theatre showed its final movie, “The Man From Snowy River”. Only four months later, after a flurry of construction and remodeling, the Iowa Theatre was reopened as the new home of the Cedar Rapids Community Theatre. Opening show was “Auntie Mame”.
