This foundational document is intended to build a common language and understanding about the challenges (there are many), opportunities (many more), and options in front of us. It’s a scan of what’s out there and what’s possible as we embark on this journey.

- City staff assessment: This is an online quiz and survey. You can take the quiz if desired.
- Community assessment: We measured 21 indicators to assess our city’s sustainability performance. This framework is provided by STAR Communities. The full STAR Communities assessment asks for 600 data points. We started with their abridged version, Leading STAR Community Indicators, which asks for roughly 50 data points that fall under 21 indicators. That assessment is featured in the State of Affairs document and will be available online in late summer 2016.
