Lien Exemption
The State of Iowa provides landlords with the opportunity to not be held responsible for tenants' delinquent municipal utility bills. If you are interested in signing up for this program, please complete the form below. Please be aware that the Lien Waiver process is time sensitive. Additional information can be found in the Policies and Procedures link above.
The Cedar Rapids Utilities division has recently updated our Lien Waiver Form. Please click the link below to submit an electronic copy of the Landlord Lien Waiver Form to our Customer Service team. Effective 12/15/2014, we will only accept Lien Waiver Forms in an electronic format. Once the form is submitted, an electronic acknowledgement will be sent to your email.

Continuous Service
When a property is in between tenants, it can be easier to maintain utility service rather than shut it off and then turn it back on when the unit is occupied. If you are interested in applying for a Do Not Remove Service order on one of your properties, please complete and return the form below.
