Interstate 380 carries more than 31,000 travelers through Cedar Rapids every day. Keeping this resource clean makes a positive impression on travelers and serves as a source of pride for residents.
To that extent, the City now obtains an annual permit from the Iowa DOT which allows us more flexibility in coordinating organized group clean up activities on the Interstate throughout the year.
If your group is interested in assisting with litter collection on I-380, please contact our office at 319-286-5897.
In addition, the City is working through the United Way's annual "Day of Caring Program" to secure larger group participation for the spring I-380 clean up in May of each year.
Restrictions
Since being on the interstate does involve some risk, participants must be at least 17 years old.
