City Conducts Survey to Identify Derecho-Related Repairs Not Completed

August 26, 2022

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has made funding available to the State of Iowa for disaster recovery from the August 2020 derecho. $2.5 million will be made available to homeowners in Linn County for derecho related repairs that have not been completed and were not covered by insurance or other funding sources. While this funding is not yet available, the City of Cedar Rapids is doing outreach to homeowners to identify needs. Information obtained through an online survey will assist in connecting homeowners to resources when funds are available.

Residents of Cedar Rapids who have derecho repairs that are not completed are encouraged to fill out the survey at https://arcg.is/av5D
