The Police Department had taken a report of a stolen 2009 Ford F-150 on April 13 from a northwest side neighborhood. The Chevrolet Silverado stolen on Tuesday, April 20 was equipped with a GPS tracker. The vehicle was identified as being in the 2400 block of Ivanhoe Road SW near Ely.

Cedar Rapids Police officers were assisted by the Linn County Sheriff’s Office and Iowa State Patrol with going to the area that the stolen vehicle was believed to be parked. Around 8:30 a.m. law enforcement officers observed the stolen Silverado and two individuals in a cornfield.

As law enforcement approached, one individual attempted to flee on foot.  The suspect was apprehended and identified as Kyle William Netolicky, DOB/07-28-1998, age 22, of Cedar Rapids.  The other individual, identified as Joshua Charles Visek, DOB/09-26-1978, age 42, of Shellsburg, was arrested and found to be in possession of methamphetamine.

Both stolen vehicles were recovered at the scene. The stolen handgun was located in a brush pile near the stolen Chevrolet Silverado.
