Precautionary Drinking Water Advisory Lifted

The City of Cedar Rapids is lifting the precautionary water advisory for all customers in the Timber Ridge subdivision previously affected.

Final testing confirmed water is safe for personal consumption.

Affected Addresses were within:

  • Birchwood Drive NE, between Terrace Hill Drive NE and Redbud Road NE
  • Lynbrook Drive NE, south of Knollshire Road NE
  • Additional individual addresses:
    • 2207 Birchwood Drive NE
    • 3600 Terrace Hill Drive NE 

Results of sampling conducted revealed all testing parameters are within normal limits and confirmed that the water is safe for consumption. 

The City of Cedar Rapids is no longer recommending residents within this area boil their water before using it for cooking or consumption. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank our customers for their patience.
