Solid Waste & Recycling Alley Collection Fully Restored for All Customers

The City of Cedar Rapids Solid Waste & Recycling division announces a FULL RETURN TO ALLEY COLLECTION of garbage, recycling and yard waste carts.
The City of Cedar Rapids has substantially completed its collaboration with utility providers to raise low-hanging cables and clear passage through alleyways for collection trucks. For customers who had alley collection of their Solid Waste & Recycling materials before the August 10 derecho, collection returns to the alley across the board this week.
