Preliminary Plats
The City has established preliminary plats as part of the subdivision ordinance so standards for the design, development, improvement and existing land uses will be considered. Preliminary plats are also reviewed to ensure adequate provisions are made for public facilities and services to allow growth to occur in an orderly manner consistent with the Comprehensive Plan; and to promote the public health, safety, and general welfare of the citizens of the city.
Major Preliminary Plat
Subdividing more than four lots is considered a major preliminary plat. Major Preliminary Plats are approved by the City Planning Commission. Click HERE for an overview of the Major Preliminary Plat process.
Minor Preliminary Plat
