Concept Plans
Concept Plan reviews were created so applicants could ask questions and get comments from staff before spending a lot of time and money developing more detailed plans. Applicants submit plans to the Development Services Department which completes zoning, engineering, and planning review.
Concept Plan reviews are designed to allow applicants to submit conceptual designs and discuss their ideas for developing land in Cedar Rapids with the appropriate staff available to answer any questions. The more information that can be made available, the more input staff will be able to give.
