Geographic Information System (GIS) is a software used by the MPO to view, analyze, interpret, and visualize geographically referenced information. The MPO can provide member jurisdictions with maps using available data sets. Maps could include the representation of population, demographics (age, race/ethnicity, income, etc.), transportation infrastructure, level of service, natural areas, political boundaries, and more.
