Greenway Parks Plan
Greenway Parks Plan
The City of Cedar Rapids is working on updating the Greenway Park Plan! In 2014, the Greenway Parks Plan was completed to provide guidance on park and recreation opportunities along the riverfront. The riverfront greenway is comprised of three park areas within the Time Check, Kingston Village, and Czech Village neighborhoods. The update of the Greenway Park Plan will build upon the public input received in 2014 and confirm features previously prioritized. The updated Plan will also consider the current flood control system alignment and build on the ongoing planning and design efforts along the riverfront. One of the most recent efforts was the Czech Village/New Bohemia Action Plan, which updated the Czech Village Greenway Park concept designs. The City looks forward to collaborating with the community to create a forward-thinking, innovative update to the Greenway Parks Plan. As the project progresses, opportunities to stay engaged and learn about the project's status will be provided below.
