This Queen Anne style house with its dramatic mansard, hipped, and gabled roof was built c. 1885. The wraparound porch, set on a rough stone base, has paired Ionic columns. From 1911 until 1933, this was the home of Charles D. Huston (1861-1944) and his wife Mary. He served as the Democratic mayor in 1902-1905, postmaster general from 1914 to 1921, and mayor again in 1922-1923 and 1930-1931.
