Visitor's Center

The new Visitor Center for Ushers Ferry Historic Village will be built using the "Modern Home No. 165" plans from the Sears, Roebuck Catalog.

Ground was broken for the new Visitor Center on May 19, 2001. Many village volunteers and friends of the village were in attendance. The dedication and opening ceremonies for the new center were held May 1, 2004.

It took some time, but the new Visitor's Center is OPEN! Come out and visit!
The dedication and Grand Opening Ceremonies took place May 1, 2004.
Inside the new Visitor Center are interpretative panels with a great deal of information about the village and the area. There is also a well stocked gift shop.

The outside is painted and work is really progressing on the inside of the new visitor center. It should be ready very soon! Come out and visit!

The outside doesn't look much different, but there is all kinds of work going on inside!

The roof is complete, the windows and doors are in. With the furnace hooked up, work will continue inside during the winter.

The walls of the Visitor's Center are up and the roof is on. It will be enclosed before winter hits!
