A Night at Ushers Scary Saturday October 26 and 27, 6-10 pm |
![]() Take a step back in time to a place where the night is truly dark and the loneliness of a remote place is palpable. Friday and Saturday October 26 and 27, from 6-10 pm Ushers Ferry Historic Village drapes itself in black to celebrate “A Night at Ushers Scary.” Led by shadowy Village residents, groups of guests will travel through the darkened streets to find out why Village staff run quickly out of the “empty” houses at night. Try to figure out just what it is that makes the hearts of women who enter the Telephone House go cold. Who is little William, and why has he never left the Hotel? Guests will hear chilling tales, see ghastly sights, experience a Victorian séance, and more. The visit will finish with classic horror films and popcorn at the Grange Hall. Admission for this classically scary event is $5 per person. No children's tickets will be sold. For more information contact the Village office at 319-286-5763. No reservations are needed, as groups of 10-15 form they will be sent out with a guide. |
