Take a step back in time to a small Iowa town 100 years ago. At Ushers Ferry Historic Village today is . Located on a beautiful ten acre site in Seminole Valley in northeast Cedar Rapids, Ushers Ferry Historic Village is a showcase of how early Iowans lived before such conveniences as electricity or indoor plumbing.

Group Reservations

Ushers Ferry Historic Village offers a variety of workshops for kids and adults. In addition, an active teaching tour is available for grades two through six. For motor coach or group tours we can help design a tour that best meets your group's needs. Please call or email us for more information.

Other Facilities and Accessibility

If walking is an issue, the Village Golf Cart is often available for use on non-event days.  Feel free to call the Village office at (319) 286-5763 to arrange using the cart at no extra charge. 

Parking is provided within easy walking distance to the Village. Visitors with disabilities will find convenient parking and many of the Village buildings are accessible.

The Visitor Center Gift Shop
While you're visiting, you can enjoy a cold drink in the Corner Place Saloon or purchase souvenirs at the Visitors Center Gift Shop.  A full line of sandwiches and cold drinks are available during our events. Visitors are always welcome to bring a picnic lunch.

Young visitors especially enjoy the small animals and chickens that they will find in several locations around the Village. Because of our resident animals, pets are not allowed on the grounds.

Adults: $4 Children 3-14: $2 Children under 2: FREE
SPECIAL EVENTS: $8 for adults $3 for children 3-14. (Pricing differs for Folk Music Festival and Ushers Scary. Please call for ticket costs.)
