- Newspaper and paper inserts
- Magazines and catalogs
- Phone books
- Cereal boxes, cracker boxes, Kleenex boxes, toilet paper and gift wrap rolls, etc. Remove plastic liners and flatten to save space.
- Junk mail (including glossies)
- Mixed paper: white, colored, NCR, laser printer, fax, photocopy, legal pad, note, and computer papers. Also, brown grocery sacks, paperback books (no plastic covers), TV Guides, file folders, post-its, call slips, envelopes (with windows), paper or envelopes with gummed labels, and packing paper.
Preparation Instructions
- No plastic or metal mixed in. Remove product samples, rubber-bands (reuse), and plastic tape.
- Place newspaper, magazines, catalogs, phone books, chipboard, junk mail, and mixed papers in the
CURBY cart.
Not Accepted
- No STYROFOAM
- No waxed paper, paper towels, Kleenex, napkins, paper coffee cups, carbon paper, tissue paper, food and tobacco wrappers
- No plastic-coated paper
- No gift wrap

- All metal food and beverage containers, including soda, soup, tuna, cookie tins, and pet food cans.
- Aluminum foil and pie plates.
Preparation Instructions
- Rinse very clean and place in the CURBY cart. Labels may be left on.
- Flatten when possible to save space
Not Accepted
- No large metals, metal parts, or paint cans
- No pots, pans or metal utensils
- No wire coat hangers
- (use Recycling Drop-Off Center
or contact scrap dealers for the above noted items)
- No batteries

- Certain other plastic bottles and buckets like shampoo and soap containers, mouthwash, and household cleaners such as bleach.
Preparation Instructions
- Rinse plastics very clean and place in the CURBY cart
Not Accepted
- No STYROFOAM (including STYROFOAM egg cartons coded # 6)
- No packing peanuts or blocks coded # 6
- No plastic wrap, packaging, bags, or film plastics coded #4
- No caps or lids without a recycling number
- No plastic motor oil bottles
- No plastic coat hangers
- No flower or plant pots
- No Christmas light holders
- No Children's toys

Glass

- Glass food and juice jars
- Non-returnable beer, wine, wine cooler, and liquor bottles
Preparation Instructions
- Glass food and juice jars must be rinsed very clean,
placed into a rigid plastic 2 1/2 to 5 gallon bucket or
wastebasket, and set out beside the CURBY cart.
- Remove lids from bottles and jars and place in your recycling container.
- If you generate a large quantity of clear and colored glass each week, please use one container for clear and one container for colored glass.
- If you only generate a few recyclable glass containers each week, consider setting your clear glass out one week and your colored glass out the next week. This saves you space and eliminates the need for
two containers.

- No drinking glasses, glass dishes, bowls, pot lids, or flower vases
- No ceramic mugs, dishes, or bowls
- No china plates or cups
- No PYREX cups or bowls

Cardboard

- Pizza boxes (remove food scraps)
- Packing and moving boxes
- Photocopy paper boxes
- Product packaging boxes and cardboard sheets
- Appliance and electronic boxes (remove all STYROFOAM and/or wood inserts)
Preparation Instructions
- Consolidate smaller boxes and pieces of cardboard by flattening them and placing them into a larger box. This method will save you time, you do not have to tie or tape bundles together and it makes collection much easier for your collectors.
- Cardboard bundles must be less than 3 feet long and 2 feet in diameter.
- Place bundled cardboard beside the CURBY
cart.
- Smaller cardboard pieces or boxes can be placed into
the 64 gallon cart (CURBY), but be aware of limiting
your space for other recyclables.
