The mission of the Solid Waste & Recycling Services Department is to provide education and cost effective and efficient solid waste and recycling services to our customers within the Cedar Rapids area so that the general health and welfare of our community are maintained, the environment is protected, and the City manages solid waste and recycling in compliance with Federal and State laws.
