Illegal Dumping
The Cedar Rapids Solid Waste & Recycling Division is committed to stopping illegal dumping in our city.
If you see it happening:
- Call Police at 319-286-5491 to report the crime in progress
- Try to get a license plate number and description of the vehicle and/or people involved
- DO NOT approach the scene or try to stop the crime in progress
If items are illegally dumped on your property:
- Call Cedar Rapids Solid Waste & Recycling Division at 319-286-5897
- Solid Waste & Recycling Division will investigate the incident and coordinate the removal of material, as appropriate
