Look for your 1/2 Price Appliance Coupon in your Summer Utility Bill!
The City of Cedar Rapids is subsidizing the cost of appliance disposal for Cedar Rapids Solid Waste & Recycling Customers throughout the summer.
The normal cost to dispose of an appliance is $9.00, but in the Fall that fee will drop to $4.50 for customers with the special appliance coupon found in your spring/summer utility bill. Residents must have their ticket (found in your spring/summer Municipal Utility Bill) to get the reduced price.
Bring your appliance coupon to the Cedar Rapids Linn County Solid Waste Agency County Home Road location during normal business hours between from August through November 19 to dispose of your appliances for 1/2 the cost!

The Cedar Rapids Linn County Solid Waste Agency accepts appliances all year at either of their locations for a $9.00 disposal fee.
The Cedar Rapids Solid Waste & Recycling Division can collect your appliance at your curb for a $20.00 hauling fee, plus $9.00 per appliance.
