The Cedar Rapids Utility Divisions set rates based on the cost it takes to serve our customers. Although many of the rates are fixed, the water and sanitary sewer charges are based on the amount of water your household consumes.
Conserving Water
Customers can reduce the charges for their water usage by conserving water in their home. If you have any leaky or dripping plumbing, you may see an increase in your water bill. Here are a couple tips for keeping your water bill as low as possible:
Use the Drip Calculator to find out how many gallons your leaky faucet uses in a day, month or year. A small drip can really add up!
Seniors & Qualified Disabilities
Customers with qualified disabilities or over the age of 62 may qualify for a reduced municipal utility rate.
