Mint Green Bag Program
Citizens interested in keeping the litter picked up in their neighborhood can sign up for the Mint Green Bag Program. To sign up complete the 
application and return it to the Solid Waste & Recycling Office. You will be provided bags to collect litter. The bags can be set out with your normal garbage and do not need an extra garbage sticker.
Adopt a Road Program
The Adopt a Road program is designed for businesses or organizations that want to keep their street or frontage road looking nice. The business or organization commits to performing two litter cleanups a year. The Solid Waste & Recycling Division provides bags, vests, work gloves, trash removal and a sign advertising the commitment of the organization. Call (319) 286-5897 for more information.
City Wide Litter Sweeps
This spring the Solid Waste & Recycling Division will work with Cedar Rapids' neighborhoods to clean up litter throughout the city in two events: Spring Sweep Neighborhood Clean Up and an I-380 Clean Up. To get the most up to day information about litter clean ups sign up for our text/email alerts.
