The City of Cedar Rapids issues three carts for the collection of solid waste and recycling.
GARBY Carts
Each residential customer is allotted one city-issued GARBY cart. The carts will be delivered between July and September of 2011. The cart must stay at the original address.
The GARBY cart has a 35 gallon capacity and can hold up to 100 pounds.

CURBY Carts
Each residential customer is allotted one city-issued CURBY cart. If you have a small blue bin, you can call 286-5897 to have a CURBY cart delivered to your home.
If you have more recyclables than will fit in your CURBY cart, you may set out items in a 2 ft. by 3 ft. cardboard box. The crew member will collect the box and contents. You may also purchase an additional cart for more capacity. Call 286-5897 for more information.
The CURBY cart has a 65 gallon capacity and can hold up to 220 pounds.

YARDY Carts
Each residential customer is allotted one city-issued YARDY cart. There are two size options for the YARDY cart, 95 gallon and 65 gallon. You may select the size that best fits your needs.
If you need additional room for yard waste, you may purchase an extra YARDY cart by calling 286-5897. Both sizes are available for purchase.
