Transit Service Changes

Cedar Rapids Transit will implement the following city bus service changes on Monday, August 23rd. Additional information is available online at www.cedar-rapids.org/transit or by calling 286-5573.

Schedule Changes 

• Weekday service will begin at Lot 44 at 5:20 am. The last buses will depart at 6:20 pm.
• The regular one-hour routes will depart Lot 44 at 20 after the hour.
• Schedule adjustments to all routes.

Route 1

• Major route changes with service no longer provided on Ellis Blvd NW past Ellis Park NW, on Edgewood Rd NW between Ellis Blvd NW and O Ave NW, and on 11th St NW.
• Service will be provided in both directions on O Ave NW and Ellis Blvd NW.

 Route 2

• The route will remain on Mt Vernon Rd. SE to Memorial Dr. SE to Bever Ave. SE to Forest Dr. SE instead of 32nd St. SE and Meadowbrook Dr. SE.

 Route 3

• The route will remain on 3rd Ave SE to 19th St NE and on Lindale Dr. NE between 27th St. NE & 32nd St. NE.
• Morning and afternoon peak service added.

 Route 4

• The route will remain on Oakland Rd. NE and Golf St. NE instead of Hollywood Blvd. NE and Sherman St. NE.

Route 7

• Major route changes with service provided both directions on Kirkwood Blvd. SW to and from the Kirkwood campus.
• Three morning and four afternoon peak trips will continue to serve C St. SW & 41st Ave. Dr. SW.

Route 8

• The route will serve downtown both inbound and outbound. Several route changes in the Cedar Hills area.

Route 9

• The route will use Bever Ave. SE to Memorial Dr. SE instead of Meadowbrook Dr. SE.

Route 12

• Service no longer provided on Queen Dr SW. Service will be shifted from 12th St. SW to 9th St. SW inbound between Wilson Ave. SW and 16th Ave. SW.
