Off-Leash dog area

The Off-Leash Dog Area is in Cheyenne Park, located on Cedar
Bend Lane SW, off of Old River Road. Visit
K9COLA,
our park partners for more information about the park and
the activities held there.
The Off-Leash Dog Area has four main sections:
(Due to flood damage, the Training
Yard is the only portion of the park open at this time. The
Training Yard is open for all activities free of charge
until the park is rebuilt on site or relocated.)

Entry
This is the gravel area intended as a meeting point, information center and where you can wait for classes or time in the training yard. Dogs should still be on leash in this area.

Training Yard
The training yard is a 1.5 acre space that can be used for classes or individual training. It is the ideal location to play or train if your dog does not come when called or hasn’t had a lot of socialization in the past.
Small Dog Yard
The Small Dog Yard is a one acre space for dogs that are 15 inches or less at the shoulder (dogs that might be injured during play with larger dogs in the Main Park).

Main Park
The main park is 12 fenced acres with a path around most of it. Keep your eye on your dog. This is a large park and it may take time to catch a dog if you lose sight of it. Permits are required to use the park.
Daily Permits
Daily permits are available at the park inside of a black mailbox. Users need to fill out information on the outside of envelopes provided, place your $5.00 inside the envelope and place in the drop box. There is also a name label inside the envelope and users must wear this label while inside the park area.
Annual Tags
Annual tags may be purchased at Animal Control, 1401 CEDAR BEND LANE, across the road past the off leash area. Please bring your dog's vaccination records for verification of expiration dates on their rabies, parvo/distemper, and bordetella.
