Online Database of Business Resources

The City of Cedar Rapids, along with The Gazette and area service providers, have launched an online database of business resources to help mitigate the economic impact of COVID-19.

Business Resources (www.thegazette.com/coronavirus-business-resource) includes a searchable, table-style directory of federal, state and local resources for area businesses. Each listing includes the resource, host organization, brief description and contact information for full details.  Business owners and administrative staff will be able to search and review the latest programs and assistance available including grant and financial assistance, case management options, virtual workshops and more.  The page also provides packaged resources available to download.

The directory is featured on the recently launched page, www.thegazette.com/coronavirus, The Gazette’s dedicated page for all ongoing and breaking news related to COVID-19. This page, along with any other COVID-19 content, remains accessible to all, free from subscription paywall.

“As many local organizations are working to provide information and resources to our business community, we recognized all of the various sources of information may be difficult to navigate for residents and business owners,” said Cedar Rapids Mayor Brad Hart. “Our goal with this webpage is to provide all the information and resources in one place, in an easily searchable format to help support our business community during this very difficult time.”

A similar page is in development that will provide information and resources for residents. The Resident Resources page is scheduled to go live early next week.

The Business Resources web page is a collaborative resource that will be updated in real time as new information becomes available. Organizations that wish to submit information for the Business Resources page may contact Quinn Pettifer (Quinn.pettifer@thegazette.com or 319-981-0307).
