| The Basic Search option allows you to quickly search for permit
information by a complete or partial Permit Number |

Permit Number: Enter the Permit Number you wish to search on.
This can be a complete or partial Permit Number. To search partial Permit
Numbers you can use the wildcard (%) character. For example, entering a Permit
Number of 123% will return all Permits whose Permit Number begins
with 123.

| Advanced Search Help |
| The Advanced Search option provides a more flexible search of the permit
information by allowing the user to specify various search criteria. You can
enter as much of the search criteria as required to narrow the search results. |

Permit Number: Enter the Permit Number you wish to search on.
This can be a complete or partial Permit Number. To search partial Permit
Numbers you can use the wildcard (%) character. For example, entering a Permit
Number of 123% will return all Permits whose Permit Number begins
with the text 123.

Address Information (Street Number/Name): Enter the Street
Number and/or Name you wish to search on. The Street Number is numeric and does
not allow for wildcard searching, but the Street Name can be entered as a
complete or partial Street Name. To search partial Street Names you can use the
wildcard (%) character. For example, entering a Street Name of %Main%
will return all Permits whose Street Name contains the text Main.

Contractor Name: Enter the Contractor Name you wish to search
on. This can be a complete or partial Contractor Name. To search partial
Contractor Names you can use the wildcard (%) character. For example, entering
a Contractor Name of %Construction will return all Permits whose
Contractor Name ends with the text Construction.

Status: Check all of the Statuses you wish to search on. The
default Statuses are Application and Active. Take
note that the more Statuses you select the more records you will have in the
search results.

| Search Results Help |
| After performing the search the Search Results table will display all
the permits matching the search criteria. The search has the ability to limit
the number of permit records returned. If the administrator has defined a
search result limit a message will appear below the Search Results table
specifying the actual limit. |

| The permit records returned in the Search Results table may also be
sorted based on the different columns. To sort the Search Results table by a
column, simply click on the column heading and the Search Results will be
returned sorted by the selected column data. |
