All Veterans Memorial Park monument


TAll Veterans Memorial Park tankhe All Veterans Memorial Park (AVM) was dedicated on May 25, 1997 and rededicated November 2002. The park encompasses a tank, mobile gun, ships anchor, benches, and several granite monuments memorializing the Wars Eastern Iowans have served in as well as a victory wall that displays the United States military service emblems etched in granite. A static-display airplane (T-33) has also been on view since the 1970s—a USAF T-33 located on the north side of the ballpark.
 

A memorial brick program began in 2002 in an effort to honor individual or groups of Veterans; additional bricks All Veterans Memorial Park Purple Heart Monumentare placed every year in time for a traditional Memorial Day ceremony.

In the spring of 2007 a pavilion with picnic tables was added, and in June 2010 a Korean War monument was dedicated.

May of 2016 saw the newest monument unveiled: An Eastern Iowa Purple Heart Monument to honor United States military personnel wounded in the line of duty.
