 Highway 100 Updates Courtesy of Iowa DOT

The new four-lane divided highway opened winter 2018 and completed the beltway around the metro area, creating a new connection for those traveling from SW to NE Cedar Rapids. The route utilizes Iowa 100, Collins Road, the Marion Bypass, Iowa 13 / US 151 and US 30. The first four miles of the 100 extension opened in December, 2016. The full route includes an additional crossing of the Cedar River, which will help alleviate traffic congestion on I-380 and Edgewood Road, as well as provide an alternative flood route with a new bridge built above the historic 2008 flood levels.
