The Cedar Rapids Fire Department is excited about this opportunity for young women to participate in a Fire Academy. In August of 2018, the Cedar Rapids Fire Department will offer the 2nd Annual Fully Involved Young Women's Fire Academy! Fully Involved is designed to introduce young women between the ages of 15-20 to firefighting as a career. The mission of the academy is to provide leadership and career development opportunities in the fire service for women.

To empower, inspire, and support strong women leaders

When: August 6th - August 10th, 2018 - 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Who: Young Women 15-20 years old
Online applications will be open March 15th through June 1st, 2018. The Young Women's Fire Academy will have 15 openings. Applicants will be notified on June 4th if they have been selected to participate in the 2018 Academy.
