Hero Camp (Ages 5-6)
The Cedar Rapids Fire Department and Police Department are teaming up to host a one-day camp for children aged 5-6. Heroes from all over Cedar Rapids will be showing off their equipment and teaching us a bit about their jobs. The cost of the camp is $30 which includes a snack. This one-day camp will take place at Central Fire July 23rd, 24th, and 25th from 9:00AM-3:00PM. Registration will open on Wednesday, February 7th at 7:00AM and close when sessions have filled. Fire and Life Safety Camp (Ages 7-9)
The Cedar Rapids Fire Department is hosting a one-week Fire & Life Safety Summer Camp for children consisting of safety education and fun, hands-on activities.  The educational topics include home fire escape planning, smoke alarm education, how to recognize and handle 911 emergencies, burn prevention, bicycle helmet safety, stranger danger, and first aid.  Activities include spraying the fire hose, fire truck rides, junior firefighter challenge, a trip to the Police Station, and much more. The cost for the camp is $100 which includes a snack each day and a t-shirt. This one-week camp will take place at Central Fire July 15th-19th from 8:30AM-11:30AM.
