Debt & Investor Relations

The Risk Management Division protects the City’s assets using the most cost effective methods, handles claims against the City, and checks certificates of insurance received by the City to ensure they meet the City’s requirements.

Collection Agency - Municipal Collections of America
The City of Cedar Rapids has partnered with Municipal Collections of America (MCOA) to assist in collecting delinquent receivables including automated traffic enforcement citations, utility bills and other general accounts receivable.
