Section 8 HCV Program: Resident Advisory Board (RAB)
Purpose:
The Cedar Rapids City Council created a Resident Advisory Board (RAB) for the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program participants who reside in Linn and Benton Counties. The purpose of the Resident Advisory Board is to provide the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program participants a forum for sharing information about the Public Housing Authority Annual Plan and Administrative Plan.
Function and Responsibility:
The functions of the Resident Advisory Board are:
- Make suggestions about the development of the Annual and Administrative Plan and any changes to these plans.
- Provide a forum for sharing information about the Annual and Administrative Plan.
Membership:
- The RAB will consist of no more than 15 members appointed by the Cedar Rapids Mayor upon the advice and consent of the City Council. Appointments shall be made to reflect the demographics of the Section 8 HCV Program participants.
- RAB members must be active Section 8 HCV Program participants within Linn and Benton County, Iowa.
Meeting Information
The Resident Advisory Board Committe meets quarterly on the 3rd Tuesday of January, April, July, and October at 2:00 P.M. at City Hall located at 101 First Street SE.
