Rebuilding Ownership Opportunities Together
The City of Cedar Rapids, in conjunction with the Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA), is offering ROOTs, the fourth round of the Single Family New Construction Program, to replace housing units lost as a result of the 2008 flood. The program offers down payment assistance up to 25% of the purchase price of an approved unit to income-qualified applicants.
The program deadline has been extended into 2017, the new program deadline is June 30, 2017. We will continue to take applications through the spring of 2017. This will be the final extension for the program, so don't miss this great opportunity!
