Funding Availability Update - 4/21/17
Funds are currently fully committed for the City’s First Time Home Buyer (FTHB) program. Program applications will still be accepted until all funds are spent through real estate closings.  As applications are reviewed and deemed eligible, they will be placed on the wait list.  If funds become available, the wait list will be contacted for fund commitment. Information regarding the program and eligibility can be found below. Once funds are exhausted, the program will be closed.  Additional funds for the program are not anticipated until Fall, 2017.

You should not assume you will receive funding until funds are committed to you.

Home Buyer Education

Applicants are required to complete a HUD-approved home buyer education course before applying. Locally, Horizons offers an on-line course that is HUD-approved, but applicants are able to take any course they choose. However, it must specifically state the course and agency are “HUD-approved” in order for it to meet the requirements of the First Time Home Buyer program.
