Professional Background:Tyler is President of SiteGen Solar and CEO of Paulson Electric. Before joining Paulson Electric, Tyler practiced law at Bradley & Riley in Cedar Rapids for five years.
Education: University of Iowa College of Law, J.D.; Claremont McKenna College, B.A.
Community: Tyler has served on numerous boards for local nonprofit organizations and served in the Iowa House of Representatives from 2007 to 2015. He also helped lead the change from the commission form of government to the current council-city manager form.
Personal: Tyler was born and raised in Cedar Rapids. He is married to Majda Sarkic and has two children.

Professional Background: Ms. Poe worked as a physical therapy technician with St Luke’s Hospital for a number of years, and in the marketing/communications/public relations and event planning fields for over 25 years. She served as the executive assistant to Governor Chet Culver and community liaison for the Rebuild Iowa Office following the devastating floods of June 2008. Council member Poe was previously the executive director of New Bo City Market.
Personal: Council member Poe was born and raised in Cedar Rapids, graduating from Kennedy High School. She has three adult children.
