Professional Background: Tyler is President of SiteGen Solar and CEO of Paulson Electric. Before joining Paulson Electric, Tyler practiced law at Bradley & Riley in Cedar Rapids for five years.
Education: University of Iowa College of Law, J.D.; Claremont McKenna College, B.A.
Community: Tyler has served on numerous boards for local nonprofit organizations and served in the Iowa House of Representatives from 2007 to 2015. He also helped lead the change from the commission form of government to the current council-city manager form.
Personal: Tyler was born and raised in Cedar Rapids. He is married to Majda and has three children.

Professional Background: Ms. Poe worked as a physical therapy technician with St Luke’s Hospital for a number of years, and in the marketing/communications/public relations and event planning fields for over 25 years. She served as the executive assistant to Governor Chet Culver and community liaison for the Rebuild Iowa Office following the devastating floods of June 2008. Council member Poe was previously the executive director of New Bo City Market.
Personal: Council member Poe was born and raised in Cedar Rapids, graduating from Kennedy High School. She has three adult children.

Professional Background: David is a Big 4 CPA with more than 30 years of finance, accounting, and audit experience. David currently works for Transamerica as a Finance and Controls Manager. Prior professional experiences include Senior Audit Director at PepsiCo; Finance Director and Regional Controller at Honeywell International; and Accounting Manager at Sara Lee Corporation.
Education: MBA in Finance, Marketing, and Strategy from Northwestern University (1999); B.S. in Accounting from Purdue University (1990)
Community: David is currently a member of Rotary West and an active volunteer for numerous local nonprofits. He previously served as Treasurer on the Boards of Directors for four Cedar Rapids-based nonprofits: Cedar Rapids Museum of Art, Revival Theatre Company, CSPS (Legion Arts), and CR Pride.
Personal: David lives with his husband, Cedar Rapids-native Matt McGrane, and their cat and senior rescue dog in a renovated, 100-year-old home. Supporting and promoting locally owned businesses is a priority for David. He is also an avid collector of art and ceramics created by local artists. In his free time, you can find David jogging or biking across the city, participating in book clubs, attending live theatre or musical performances, or watering the 170+ trees he planted in the community after the 2020 Derecho.
