Safe, Equitable and Thriving Communities Task Force

The Safe, Equitable and Thriving Communities Task Force was charged with evaluating economic disparities and opportunities, programming in the city, youth services, housing policies and non-profit organizations. Based on almost a year of work, the team developed a final report.

The City of Cedar Rapids has addressed a number of SET Task Force objectives identified in the report through City initiatives, tackling identified issues such as economic opportunities and jobs, housing needs, law enforcement and public safety, and more. These initiatives represent a combined $3,243,131 investment from the City.
