Neighborhood Rehabilitation Program

The Neighborhood Rehabilitation Program (NRP) is designed to maintain affordable housing stock and revitalize flood-impacted neighborhoods. The NRP uses Local Option Sales Tax (LOST) revenues to provide gap funding for the rehabilitation of structurally-sound homes that are not financially feasible. The NRP funding is available to contractors, developers, or experienced organizations for rehabilitation of owner-occupied houses or gap between the cost of acquisition/rehabilitation and the resulting sales price of the home. Eligible rehabilitation costs incurred are reimbursed to the applicant organization at project completion/property sale after passing Indoor Air Quality and Lead clearance tests.
