Residential Alternate Side Street Parking

Upon declaration of a residential snow emergency, vehicles that are parked on public streets not designated and signed as “emergency snow routes” shall comply with the following.
- From 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on the next day following a declaration of a residential snow emergency, vehicle parking on public streets shall only be permitted on the side of the street with even numbered addresses on even numbered calendar days or correspondingly on odd numbered addresses on odd numbered calendar days.
- From 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on the second morning following such declaration of a residential snow emergency, parking will be permitted only on the opposite side of the street as was permitted the previous day.
- Permitted parking on these two days following the declaration of residential snow emergency on public residential streets shall not apply to posted emergency snow routes, Interstate 380, parking metered areas in the central business district or other areas where parking is presently restricted between the hours of 2:00 AM and 6:30 AM, and any street where the alternate side parking would conflict with permanently posted parking restrictions.
- A vehicle illegally parked after a residential snow emergency has been declared is subject to a fine and or towing of the vehicle.
