NEWS OF THE DAY

Operation Loved One

The Cedar Rapids Police Department has created a program called "Operation Loved One". This program offers fingerprinting and photos of loved ones so that if the individual becomes lost or wanders off, the police can assist in locating them quickly.

The Cedar Rapids Police and Meadowview Memory Care Village is hosting a FREE event, May 31, 2012, 4:00-6:00 pm,  to promote this program in the corridor. People who are caring for individuals with Dementia, are encouraged to bring their loved one to enjoy a meal and hear about the program. Officers will be on hand to register individuals in the program, take photos and fingerprints. The Alzheimer's Association East Central Iowa Chapter, will be on hand answering questions about the disease and providing support group information.  Contact Sgt. Steve Keiller at 319-286-5339 or Angie McClure at 319-390-7000 to sign up.

Join us at Meadowview Memory Care Village at 3005 F Ave NW on May 31, 2012, from 4:00 - 6:00 PM to learn more about Operation Loved One.
