The Information Technology (IT) Department provides service delivery and support for City technology systems. To deliver these services, best practices are used from Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and Project Management Institute (PMI).
To assist in department’s technology needs being met, two prominent committees are used as communication tools between departments and IT. The IT Business Alignment Committee (IT-BAC) which focuses on the business needs, prioritization of projects and viewing of upcoming technology for departments. The IT Steering Committee (ITSC) focuses on the specific technology to deliver services.
IT is an internal City service, dedicated to ensure that City employees have access to the data and technology needed to perform their duties with maximum efficiency.
