Ellis Golf Course - Wood Sculpture of Payne Stewart

In 2001, a wood sculpture of Payne Stewart from a white oak tree log was completed by a professional chainsaw artist, A.J. Lutter from Brainard, Minnesota.

The photos here show the process and the final sculpture as it stands for everyone to enjoy at the Ellis Golf Course.

The chainsaw artist, Mr. Lutter, was paid by an anonymous golfer who wanted to pay tribute to Payne Stewart. The Golf Department thanks the golfer for such a lovely addition to the Ellis Golf Course.
