Aboveground Storage Tank Removal
A construction permit is required to install, alter, remove,
abandon or otherwise dispose of an above ground flammable or
combustible liquid tank.
Aboveground Storage Tanks for Emergency Generator
A construction permit is required to install, alter, remove,
abandon or otherwise dispose of a flammable or combustible
liquid tank associated with an emergency generator.
Cryogenic Fluid Systems
A construction permit is
required to install, repair damage to, abandon, remove,
place temporarily out of service, or close or substantially
modify a Cryogenic Fluid System.
Spray Painting Booth
A construction permit is required to install or modify a
spray room, dip tank or booth.
TELP Temporary Propane Tank
A construction permit is required for installation of a
temporary LP-gas system.
Flammable Gas System
A construction permit is required to install, repair damage
to, abandon, remove, place temporarily out of service, or
close or substantially modify a flammable gas system.
Aboveground Storage
Tank for Motor Vehicle Fuel Dispensing
A construction is permit is required to install, alter,
remove, abandon or otherwise dispose of a flammable or
combustible liquid tank used for Motor Vehicle Fuel
Dispensing.
Aboveground Storage Tank for Non-Motor Vehicle Fuel
Dispensing
A construction permit is required to install, alter, remove,
abandon or otherwise dispose of a flammable or combustible
liquid tank.
Compressed Gas System
A construction permit is required to install, repair damage
to, abandon, remove, place temporarily out of service, or
close or substantially modify a compressed gas system.
LP-Gas Permanent
A construction permit is required for installation of or
modification to a LP-gas system (includes Propane, Propene,
Mapp, Propanol, and other related liquefied gases).
Paint Prep Stations and Limited Spray Areas
A construction permit is required to install or modify a
spray area used for the application of flammable liquids and
coatings.
Sprinkler System Permit Application
A construction permit is required for installation or
modification to an automatic fire-extinguishing system.
Maintenance performed in accordance with the Cedar Rapids
Fire Code is not considered a modification and does not
require a permit.
Underground Storage Tank for Motor Vehicle Fuel Dispensing
A construction permit is required to install, alter, remove,
abandon or otherwise dispose of an underground flammable or
combustible liquid tank used for Motor Vehicle Fuel
Dispensing.
