City staff monitor the Cedar River daily and are prepared for future Cedar River flooding. Flood response tasks may include closing flood gates along the river, plugging storm sewers, closing roads, constructing barriers, and operating pump stations. In the event of a flood, the City will regularly communicate flood information to the public.
