2010 Audition Times Announced
The Cedar Rapids Band Commission encourages musicians to audition for potential open seats and substitute opportunities for the 2010 Cedar Rapids Municipal Band.
Expected member openings include:
Permanent openings:
Oboe
Trombone
One-year openings:
Clarinet
Trumpet
Flute
Substitutes
All instruments
Audition Dates are scheduled for:
Saturday, March 27, 2010 - starting at 1 p.m.
Sunday, March 28, 2010 - starting at 2 p.m.
at the Cedar Rapids Jefferson High School Band Room
Those musicians who have auditioned previously and those who have served as substitute or former members of the band are encouraged to audition again this year as all seating decisions will be made based on this year's auditions.
You may request an audition time by emailing CRMB Business Manager Laura Drzycimski. When emailing, please include your name, instrument and your preferred audition date/time. Walk-in auditions will be held on a first come, first served basis.
Auditions are sight reading only and evaluated by departing CRMB Conductor Dr. Morgan Jones and the Cedar Rapids Band Commission. All musicians are encouraged to bring a resume highlighting their musical experience. Musicians should also plan to arrive early to allow for warm-up. Warm-up rooms will be made available to all musicians auditioning.
