Corridor MPO to Present Options for Improved Bus Routes
The Corridor Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) will host two series of open
houses on October 20th at African American Museum and Crowne Plaza Five Seasons Hotel. The Corridor
MPO is holding these sessions to gather community input on the proposed transit route changes for
Cedar Rapids Transit services operating in the metro area.
Interested community members are invited to attend. At the meeting, attendees are encouraged to
comment on the various route modifications proposed to the existing Cedar Rapids Transit routes.
The Corridor MPO is reviewing the Cedar Rapids fixed©\route transit system and exploring potential
improvements that could be made to existing services to better serve local needs. This is the second in a
series of three open houses scheduled for this project. The third open house is scheduled for November
24th (Location TBD). Comments received at these open houses will be incorporated in the development
of future transit options for the Cedar Rapids area. Feedback can also be provided by visiting the
Corridor MPO website at www.corridormpo.com.
