Set your Garbage Out on the 4th
CEDAR RAPIDS, IA – July 2, 2012 – There will be no delay in garbage, recycling, or yard waste collection for Independence Day, Monday, July 4th. Residents should set their items out on their normal collection day by 7:00am throughout the week.
Why?
Solid Waste & Recycling collection crews need five working days to collect garbage, yard waste, and recycling from all Cedar Rapids’ homes. The Division opted to retain the normal collection schedule to allow the crews a full weekend of recovery before starting the next round of collection on July 9th.
