Historic Restoration
- Carpet - A small piece of the original carpet was discovered tucked under a cabinet in a small storage room adjacent to the balcony. Efforts are underway to see that the new carpeting is appropriately inspired by the original.
- Paint & Plaster - Extensive efforts are underway to ensure that repairs are executed in a historically sensitive manner. An analysis of the color and composition of historic paint and plaster finishes is underway to determine the original color scheme, painting techniques and plaster techniques.
Flood Mitigation Strategy
In order to minimize the effect of future flood events, an addition to the second and third floor (over the 2002 addition) will be constructed. The second floor will house the dressing rooms and green room that were formerly located in the basement. The third floor will house the mechanical rooms that were formerly located in the basement.
Proposed Seating Improvements
The seating layout in the main floor will be right sized for today's standards, which includes wider seats and increased knee space. The center aisle will be eliminated to accommodate additional seats. Additional accessible seating areas will also be provided. The seat width in the Loge area will be increased for improved patron comfort. The seating layout in the balcony will remain the same.
